Mizuno Katsunari was a direct cousin of [[Tokugawa Ieyasu]], and was lord of [[Yamato-Koriyama han|Yamato-Kôriyama]] and [[Fukuyama han|Fukuyama domains]].
 
 
 
After serving for a time as lord of Yamato-Kôriyama, Mizuno was moved to the western provinces in [[1619]] and was made lord of Fukuyama, at 100,000 ''[[koku]]''.
