  • Japanese: 宮崎 神宮 (Miyazaki jinguu)

Miyazaki Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Miyazaki prefecture, on Kyushu, established in the late 1880s and dedicated to the spirit of Emperor Jimmu. The shrine is said to mark the location where, according to the Kojiki and Nihon shoki, Ninigi-no-mikoto, the grandson of Amaterasu, descended from the heavens, and where Ninigi's great-grandson, the first human Emperor, Jimmu, is said to have been born.
