Yanagiwara Motomitsu was a kugyô (court noble) of the mid-Edo period. He is known for a number of writings, including a chronological history entitled Zokushi gushô; a diary, Yanagiwara Motomitsu nikki; and a collection of various writings known as Kansô jigo.

Yanagiwara was named gon-dainagon in 1775, but abdicated that position three years later.
