The Liang Dynasty was one of the chief dynasties which ruled China during the [[Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period]] following the fall of the [[Tang Dynasty]] in [[907]].

The Liang was founded by [[Zhu Wen]], a rebel Tang commander, who captured the Emperor of Tang in [[904]] and killed him in 907, dismantling his capital of [[Chang'an]] and floating many of the palace buildings down the Wei River to establish his own capital at [[Luoyang]]; a second Liang capital was maintained simultaneously at [[Kaifeng]].

The Liang fell in [[923]] to the Shatuo Turks, who then established the [[Later Tang Dynasty]].
