Takami Senseki

Takami Senseki was a high-ranking retainer for Koga domain, serving lords Doi Toshiatsu and Doi Toshitsura in positions such as karô. He is known primarily as a Rangaku scholar, and for his numerous interactions or connections with other scholars, literati (bunjin), and the like.
The Koga History Museum (Koga rekishi hakubutsukan) in Ibaraki City holds some 3,000 documents associated with Senseki; the collection as a whole has been designated an Important Cultural Property.
