• Date of the earliest surviving gunchûjô (a warrior's petition for reward for his military service).
• Gokuraku-ji is founded in Urasoe, on Okinawa, by the monk Zenkan, who came to Ryûkyû that year. This is also the traditional date for the introduction of Buddhism to Ryûkyû.
