Timeline of 1203

• 1203/7/24 Unkei and Kaikei, along with two other master sculptors and sixteen assistants, begin work on the Niô Guardians for Tôdaiji's Nandaimon.
• 1203/10/3 The Tôdai-ji Niô Guardians are completed.
• 1203/11/30 A dedication ceremony for the rebuilt Tôdaiji is held, with Emperor Go-Toba in attendance.
