::I think that's a great idea. Having noticed that there are only Timeline categories for some of the periods, might I go ahead and create more? We know we're going to need them. Also, it might be keen to list the Japanese era name within each Western year Timeline article. What do you think? PS If you have a template ready, I wouldn't mind implementing it onto the year pages in order to link to the previous/next years. LordAmeth 03:52, 17 June 2007 (PDT)

:as long as you have a year to put into it, you are free to create the period timeline category.  Also, not sure what you mean by "list the Japanese era name within each western year timeline article" - we do have Japanese Eras - is this what you mean?  --Kitsuno 10:17, 17 June 2007 (PDT)

Is there any way to format the timeline so it's organized by date, instead of by starting number? Nagaeyari 16:30, 3 October 2006 (PDT)

Someone once suggested the timeline pages should have links to the previous and following year. I think that is a good idea.--Bethetsu 21:16, 11 January 2007 (PST)

I could come up with a template pretty easily- actually applying it would be a heck of a chore, though. Every existing date article would need it put in and correctly formatted for the prior and following date. And there are still some things that are only half complete that still need to be finished, so I'll put it on my "to do" list, and let everyone know when I'm ready. --Kitsuno 00:52, 12 January 2007 (PST)
I think that's a great idea. Having noticed that there are only Timeline categories for some of the periods, might I go ahead and create more? We know we're going to need them. as long as you have a year to put into it, you are free to create the period timeline category. Also, not sure what you mean by "list the Japanese era name within each western year timeline article" - we do have Japanese Eras - is this what you mean? --Kitsuno 10:17, 17 June 2007 (PDT)
I wrote this before realizing that some, such as 1600, already do list the Japanese year, in this case, "Keichô 5; 慶長五年庚子" on the page. That's the kind of thing I meant. LordAmeth 12:27, 17 June 2007 (PDT)
