Interests

A bit more about myself. I currently practice Nakamura Ryu Battodo (3-dan), Mugai Ryu Iaihyodo (2-dan), and Shindo Muso Ryu Jodo. I am also ranked 1-dan in Atarashii Naginata and 1-kyu in ZNKR kendo. I have practiced Aikido, both Seishinkai (2-kyu) and Kokikai (3-kyu), but have not practiced officially for some time.

I have an great interest in all areas of Japan, but especially in the pre-Edo period. I have a fascination for the Nara and Heian areas, especially the esoteric practices such as Onmyodo, Buddhist Mikkyo, etc. I am also interested in stories and legends, and sometimes perform 'sit-down philosophy' (as opposed to stand up comedy) to help pass on some of the stories from Japan and China.

Besides Japan, I'm also interested in learning more about the history of Korea, China, and Southeast Asia.

As far as Wiki stuff goes--I'm pretty much a noob on everything, so feel free to correct me if I'm doing something I shouldn't. I'm taking that whole "be bold" statement literally.
