Japanese:天照大御神
A deity of Japanese mythology. Enshrined in Ise shrine. Amaterasu was the daughter of Izanagi and Izanami. She was the older sister of Susa no O. She was born from Izanagi's left eye and ordered to rule Taka Amano Hara. She was angry at Susa no O's violent acts and hid herself inside of the Amano Iwayato.
