Ômine Seikan was a prominent yôga (Western-style) painter of prewar and post-war Okinawa. He is known for his many paintings of traditional Okinawan town/village scenes featuring terracotta red-tiled roofed homes.
Ômine served for a time as head of the Okinawa mingei kyôkai (Okinawa Folk Crafts Association).
