Kujô Yoritsune was a court noble and the first shogun of the Kamakura shogunate to not be of the Minamoto clan. He served as shogun from 1226/1/27 to 1244/4/28.

He was married to Take no gozen, a daughter of former shogun Minamoto no Yoriie.

He stepped down as shogun in 1244 in favor of his son Kujô Yoritsugu.
