Chén Kǎn was a Ming Dynasty scholar-official who served as the leader of a Chinese investiture mission to the Ryûkyû Kingdom in 1534. He later wrote the Shǐ liúqiú lù (使琉球錄, J: Shi Ryûkyû roku) as a formal record and report from his mission.
