Takeo joined the Shinsengumi in 1864 with Ito Kashitaro and left for the Goryo Eji in 1867.
Hattori and Ito were assassinated by Shinsengumi members because they were planing to kill Kondo Isami (Incident at Aburano Koji).
Takeo was known as the one of best swordman in the Shinsengumi.
