The Anegakoji were descended from the Fujiwara and ruled Hida province from the 1300's. In 1585 they were destroyed by the forces of Toyotomi Hideyoshi for supporting Sasa Narimasa. The Anegakoji were in fact led by men of Mitsugi blood by the mid-Sengoku Period.
