My source Nihon no Meijo Kojo Jiten and J-wikipedia and Sakai city official site say the founder is Shibata Katsutoyo 柴田勝豊. Is Shibata Katsutoshi Typo?--Shikisoku 06:35, 21 March 2008 (PDT)

Shiki, Nihon No Bijutsu #54:Shiro was my source for 'Shibata Katsutoshi'. I double checked the kanji in an historical name dictionary, and it was correct. However, flipping through a couple of other sources, they use 'Katsutoyo'. If the Sakai City site and all those other sources use "Katsutoyo', I think we can assume that's correct.
