Yoshida Kanemi was the head of [[Yoshida Shrine]] in Kyoto, and a prominent figure in court circles in the late 17th century, as well as having some association with figures such as [[Toyotomi Hideyoshi]] and [[Oda Nobunaga]].

Kanemi was a relative of [[Hosokawa Fujitaka]]. His wife was named Seijo, and they had at least one child, a daughter named Michiyo.
