The ''Sangoku meisho zue'' (Illustrated Famous Places of the Three Provinces) is a sixty-volume set of illustrated volumes describing the famous sites, topography, history, local products, and so forth of the three provinces under control of the [[Shimazu clan]]: [[Hyuga province|Hyûga]], [[Osumi province|Ôsumi]], and [[Satsuma province|Satsuma]]. It was compiled by [[Godai Hidetaka]], [[Hashiguchi Kenpei]]<!--橋口兼柄-->, and [[Godai Yuko|Godai Yûko]]<!--五代友古--> in [[1843]], at the orders of [[Shimazu Narioki]].
