Ôiso no Tora, also known as Tora Gozen, was a late [[Heian period]] prostitute, based at the Chôtei brothel in Ôiso, [[Sagami province]]. She is famous as the lover of [[Soga Juro|Soga Jûrô]], and features in numerous [[kabuki]] plays. According to the stories, following Jûrô's death, Tora became a nun and devoted the remainder of her life to praying for his soul.
