Masamori was the son of [[Obata Toramori]] and fought at [[Battle of Mimasetoge|Mimasetoge]] ([[1569]]), [[Battle Mikatagahara|Mikatagahara]] ([[1573]]), and [[Battle of Nagashino|Nagashino]] ([[1575]]) as a commander of infantry.
