Hiromoto was the eldest son of [[Mori Toyomoto|Môri Toyomoto]] and succeeded his father in [[1476]]. He received the character 'Hiro' from [[Ouchi Masahiro|Ôuchi Masahiro]]. He found himself threatened by the emerging [[Amako clan|Amako]] family of [[Izumo province]] and so allied with [[Ouchi Yoshioki|Oûchi Yoshioki]]. He died on 13 February 1506.
