*Okinawan: 嶺間御殿 (miima udun)

Miima udun was the Shuri residence of Bainan, the daughter of King Shô Ikô, and the second to hold the position of kikoe-ôgimi (high priestess). She thus came to be known, herself, as Miima kikoe ôgimi ganashi.

A narrow sidestreet neighboring the mansion came to be known as Miima kubiri, a placename which still exists, from the word kubiri meaning a narrow, squeezed, space. The placename Miima kubiri also appears in the Omoro sôshi.

The site of the Ounu dunchi mansion can be seen nearby.
