Megata Yukinobu was a retainer of the Amako clan, serving both Amako Yoshihisa and Katsuhisa. Yukinobu became a ronin when Gassan-Toda castle was surrendered to Môri Motonari by Yoshihisa in 1566. He joined with Yamanaka Shikanosuke and others to assist with Katsuhisa's penetration of Izumo in an effort to return the clan to power, but died of sickness in Izumo in the process.
