Matsumoto Sansetsu was a 17th century court painter in service to the lords of Iyo Matsuyama han.

Born in Ômi province, Sansetsu was later invited by Matsudaira Sadayuki, the first Edo period lord of Iyo Matsuyama, to come to Shikoku and enter his service.
