Kiyoyasu was the eldest son of [[Matsudaira Nobutada]]. He moved to consolidate the position of the [[Matsudaira clan|Matsudaira]] in Mikawa province, capturing [[Okazaki castle]] in [[1524]]. He was killed by [[Abe Yashichi]] stemming from a quarrel over whether or not to submit to the [[Imagawa clan|Imagawa]].
