Ichikawa Sainyû was a Kabuki actor of the late Edo period and Meiji period.

He passed through the names Ichikawa Fukutarô and Ichikawa Udanji before taking on the name Ichikawa Sainyû at a ceremony at the Osaka Naka-za in January 1909. He was the first to perform under that name.
