Hirata Tamenojô was a Tsushima han retainer appointed in 1850 to serve as an Irregular Congratulatory Envoy (陳賀使, K: Chinha sa), leading an embassy to offer congratulations to King Cheoljong of Joseon on his succession to the throne.

In 1868, he was serving as rusui for the domain in Kyoto.
