Yoshitaka was the second son of [[Hatakeyama Yoshitsuna]] and was apparently sent to the Nihonmatsu-[[Hatakeyama clan|Hatakeyama]] for adoption. In [[1574]] he was established assumed control as the 11th head of the Noto Hatakeyama but was overthrown by the [[Cho clan]] and others. He died suddenly in 1576.
