The ''Asahi-maru'' was a warship constructed by [[Mito han]] at Ishikawajima in [[Edo]], on the orders of the shogunate. Completed in [[1855]], it was named Asahi-maru the following year.

The ''Asahi-maru'' was a warship constructed by [[Mito han]] at Ishikawajima in [[Edo]], on the orders of the shogunate. Completed in [[1855]], it was named Asahi-maru the following year. Mito turned over the warship to the shogunate on [[1857]]/12/1.
