- 1557/4/2 Môri Motonari forces Ôuchi Yoshinaga to commit suicide and occupies Suo province.
- 1557/7 Ôtomo Sôrin defeats Akizuki Fumitane and expands into Chikuzen.
- 1557/11 Oda Nobuyuki and Shibata Katsuie plot against Oda Nobunaga in Owari. Though Shibata is spared, Nobuyuki is killed.
