Namiki Gohei

Namiki Gohei was a hereditary name passed down through a series of kabuki playwrights of the Edo period.

Like other actors' names, the name "Namiki Gohei" was bestowed (or given up) at grand naming ceremonies called shûmei in which a number of actors formally change their names.
