Wen Zhengming was a major Ming Dynasty painter, known for his emulation of the styles of past masters.

He studied under Shen Zhou, and is known to have been friends with Tang Yin. His work drew upon styles from the Southern Song and Yuan Dynasties, and often emulated in particular the work of Zhao Mengfu.
