LordAmeth, you wrote you did not know the Japanese month. Do you mean you don't know the month at all, or you don't know in the Japanese calendar? If the latter, what kind of dates are these that you wrote? Are they all, including the Japanese and Russian, the Gregorian calendar? If so, what is 1853/2/29?--Bethetsu 00:21, 20 January 2008 (PST)

Sorry for the confusion. All the dates that I gave in numerals should be the accurate Japanese dates. Those I gave in the English month names are the only ones for which I do not know the Japanese equivalent. For example, July 1853 runs from the 25th of the 5th month to the 26th of the 6th month of the Japanese lunar calendar. I could just guess and write that it happened during the 6th lunar month, but without a precise Western date, I cannot be positive which Japanese month is correct. Follow? I'm actually really disappointed and annoyed that this Japanese chronology I'm working from now is written only in Western dates. Sort of defeats the purpose of using a Japanese language text in the hopes that it'd be more precise, accurate, whatever. LordAmeth 06:59, 20 January 2008 (PST)
