* [[Society of Jesus|Jesuits]] return to Japan three men from [[Satsuma province]] who they had captured in [[Malacca]] the previous year and had brought to [[Goa]]. One of these men is [[Anjiro|Anjirô]], who later becomes an interpreter for [[Francis Xavier]].
*[[Oda Nobuhiro]] surrenders and [[Tokugawa Ieyasu|Takechiyo]] returns to [[Okazaki castle]] from imprisonment.
*The final [[Ouchi clan|Ôuchi clan]] [[tribute]] mission (sent two years earlier) arrives in China. This marks the end of Japanese tributary relations with China.
