Sôda Hikosaburô was a resident of [[Tsushima]] who was granted court official status in the [[Joseon]] (Korean) royal court in [[1482]]. Though he did not live in Korea or serve the court in any concrete fashion, this status granted him benefits when he traveled to Korea to trade.
