Take no gozen was a daughter of shogun [[Minamoto no Yoriie]] and wife to shogun [[Kujo Yoritsune|Kujô Yoritsune]]. Her mother was a daughter of the [[Hiki clan]].
Following her death, she was buried at [[Myohon-ji|Myôhon-ji]] in [[Kamakura]] alongside her brother [[Minamoto Ichiman]].
