Kasuga Taisha is a Shinto shrine in Nara, closely associated with the Fujiwara clan and the nearby Mt. Mikasa. Originally established around 768, much of the shrine buildings today date to an 1863 reconstruction.

The "Kasuga tsukuri" architectural style is echoed in many shrines across Japan.
