Yang Su was an ambassador dispatched by the Korean kingdom of Joseon in 1420 to formally convey the royal court's condolences on the death of Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, who had died in 1408. He was reportedly robbed of extensive gifts for the shogunate - including textiles, tiger skins, and ginseng - by pirates in the Inland Sea.
