Gaya Confederacy
The Gaya Confederacy was a 1st-6th century polity based in southern Korea. During the wars which led to the end of the Three Kingdoms period in Korea, Gaya was allied with the Yamato state against Silla and the Tang dynasty.
In 532, Silla and Paekche allied together to attack Gaya. Gaya survived, and allied with Yamato against the small Kyushu-based polity of Iwai, which had Silla's backing in a brief mid-6th-century conflict known as the Iwai Rebellion.[1] Gaya fell to Silla conquest in 562.
