Reizei Tamemura was a prominent court noble of 18th century Kyoto, and is known today especially for his poetry.

In addition to composing many waka which remain famous and highly appreciated today, Tamemura is also known for having tutored or otherwise influenced a number of literati poets of his time, including Yashiro Hirokata, Ike no Taiga, and Ike Gyokuran.
