Sakakibara Kôshû, also known as Sakakibara Gensuke, was a Confucian scholar in the service of the Kishû Tokugawa clan.

Born into the Shimoyama family of Iga province, he was adopted by his maternal grandfather and raised in Izumi province before going to Kii.
