Uesugi clan (Ogigayatsu)

• Japanese: 扇谷上杉家 (Ougigayatsu Uesugi ke)

This branch of the Uesugi controlled the heart of the Kanto plain and fought against the encroaching Hôjô until their defeat at Kawagoe in 1545 broke their strength and eventually led to their elimination.
