Asakawa Kan'ichi

Asakawa Kan'ichi was a pioneer in teaching and writing Japanese history in English. He taught at Yale University beginning in 1906, and played a key role in the beginnings of Yale's Japanese library collections.
His works include:

- The Russo-Japanese Conflict (1904)
- The Documents of Iriki (1929)
