Takanabe han was a 27,000 koku domain ruled by the Akizuki clan and based at Takanabe castle in Hyûga province.
The Akizuki were assigned to the Yanagi-no-ma in Edo castle.
Akizuki Tanemi was among the lords of Takanabe. His second son was adopted into the Uesugi clan in 1760, and went on to become Uesugi Harunori.
