Mô Bin peechin Seiryô was a Ryukyuan scholar-official who was named keezui bujô (Lacquerware Magistrate) in 1612. In that position, he oversaw a number of lacquerware artists, including specialists in lacquer, mother-of-pearl, cabinetry, and so forth.
