The Ômori of [[Sagami province]] were originally from [[Suruga province]]. They claimed descent from [[Fujiwara Michiie]] and were established by [[Omori Yoriie|Ômori Yoriie]]. [[Uesugi Zenshu]] gave them [[Odawara castle]] in the 15th Century and by the opening of the 16th Century they were important retainers of the [[Uesugi clan|Uesugi]]. Uesugi Zenshu gave them Odawara castle in the 15th Century and by the opening of the 16th Century they were important retainers of the Uesugi. They lost Odawara to Hôjô Sôun and afterwards became Hôjô vassals.
