Sô Shigemoto was the 9th head of the Sô clan. He succeeded his father, Sô Sadamori.
Around 1449, Shigemoto received from Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimasa (then known as Yoshishige) the honor of using the character 「成」(shige) in his name.
Shigemoto is known for increasing or otherwise circumventing the limits on trade set by the 1443 Kakitsu Treaty his father concluded with Korea, increasing Tsushima's revenues and sharing these with retainers and local elites, as well as strengthening control over the clan's retainers.
He was succeeded as head of the Sô clan by Sô Sadakuni.
