*Japanese: 為明 (Tameaki)
Tameaki was a late 16th century Amami Ôshima official.
The son of local official Tamemitsu and grandson of Tameharu (the first official to oversee Amami on behalf of the Ryûkyû Kingdom), Tameaki was born on Amami Ôshima but was sent as a child to Shuri on Okinawa Island to serve in the royal court of the Ryûkyû Kingdom. Granted a yellow cap while in Shuri as a marker of noble rank, he returned to Amami and later became ôyako of Kasari district.
His adopted son Tameyoshi followed in his footsteps.
