大学 or 大學 (C: Dà xué, J: daigaku) is the standard term today, in both Chinese and Japanese, for "college" or "university." Historically, however, it can also refer to:
- The Great Learning (大學, Dà xué), one of the books of the Confucian classics
- The Confucian academy at the Yushima seidô in Edo, the head of which was known as Hayashi Daigaku-no-kami 林大学頭 (lit. "Hayashi, head of the academy")
- The National Academy (大學 Dà xué, 国学 guóxué, 国子監 guózǐjiàn) in Beijing.
