Kuchiki Masatsuna was a ''[[rangaku]]'' scholar who is known for his associations with [[Isaac Titsingh]], and for demonstrating a particularly excellent grasp of Dutch language, in his surviving letters.
Kuchiki wrote two books: one on Western coins, entitled ''Seiyô senpu'', and one on the geography and customs of Western countries, ''Taisei yochi zusetsu''.
